Really messy book
I am a person who is preparing for TOEFL after all the books i have revised, i just went through this book and finally thought i will not be capable to get a good score in TOEFL.This book cannot be read by anyone.After reading a few pages i thought i will not write my TOEFL exam., may be after reading some of reviews about this book, i belived that this is really a mess.Hey folks if you really really want to succeed in TOEFL my suggestion is that DONT READ THIS BOOKKK..,.,
Probably the worst guide I've ever read
This book is so messy and bad organized that after completing two chapters I have no idea of what type of questions I'll get during the exam. Instead of going throught all types of questions in each lesson or at least giving a briefe overview they splited them across the whole book. Say, there are 6 speaking tasks in the real test and they cover them one by one in each lesson. There're also a lot of useless tasks and exersises like "outlining practice" or "skimming practice". They give these "kind of test tasks" instead of giving real tasks.
To sum up, this book is not really much of help.
Disappointing
I bought this book with high hopes, but it does not have good exercises for building skills for the TOEFL IBT. There are practice tests on the CD, but the book does not offer helpful support. I would recommend the Longman TOEFL IBT preparation book by Phillips instead.
