Reviews:

A GREAT book for anyone
Even though I'm just up to the second chapter of the Chemistry Review, I'm already enjoying this book very much. I would highly recommend it to anyone (and I doubt you will regret it) to prep for the SAT II Chemistry. It is thorough and concise (as long as you have been paying attention in class, the review is excellent), with no extra useless information (as I found last year when I read Barrons Biology book). Here's from my past experience: Kaplan for biology, chemistry, physics, Barrons for SAT, AP Statistics.
Actual Test much HARDER than the practice tests!!!
Having scored a score of 740 and 730 on the practice tests, i expected a higher score on the actual test. I scored a 710 on the test. The contents of the book are excellent, brief and to the point except that it did not contain environmental and laboratory chemistry, where there were 5-6 questions on these topics. Combining the book with sparknotes was pretty helpful in the preparation. I wud like to thank my chem teacher for helping me through the preparation and clarifying my doubts. I would definitely recommend this book for everyone as it way better than the other SAT chem books.
Good Buy
I really only used the book one week before the test. Some of the concepts were hard to understand the way the book explained them, but it prepared me very well. Although I have not gotten my scores in yet, I think I did fairly well and I owe it to this book and my Chemistry teacher
Very helpful as review
I got a 710 on the test. Definetely this book is extremely helpful in pointing out little things that are on the test. However, you should have your chemistry textbook with you because some parts do lack a little. The tests are harder than what the real test is like (i scored 630 on both practice tests). The book does not spend your time on simple concepts and works to the harder ones. This book is also a great help if you're taking AP at the same time. Might as well take AP and SAT Chem since they are virtually on the same weekend. But I recommend the book for its material.
Excellent for what it is - test prep.
I purchased the SAT Chemistry '05-'06 book about a month before I took the exam. I thought that the book did a very good job of providing reminders and reviewing important chemistry concepts. You cannot use this book alone to prepare for the SAT II, however - it is just a REVIEW book.

Because it is only a review book, it was lacking in some areas, especially in detail. Most of the book assumed you had already taken a basic chemistry course and knew basic chemistry concepts, and proceeded right on to the difficult pieces.

As far as the practice tests go, they were slightly harder than the real thing and extremely helpful. I scored low 700's on the practice tests in the book, and got a perfect 800 on the real thing. I would definitely reccomend this book to review concepts, but not to learn them for the first time.
