Reviews:

Great help! Highly recommend!
I used an older version of this study guide to study for the PPST. I thought it was very helpful, especially the practice questions. Truthfully, I doubt that a study guide is even necessary to take this test since it covers the basic reading, writing, math & essay. But being out of college for several years now, I decided it couldn't hurt to do a review. The quick reviews in each area were great - I concentrated on what I missed on the practice tests. And the best part - it's small in size, I could stuff it into my purse & review while at the doctors office, at the bank drive thru, etc. (I also tried the ARCO guide which I felt was inferior to this guide!)

Praxis I: PPST pre-professional skills tests prep guide
I loved this book. I feel like it prepared me very well for the test (although I haven't taken it yet). I especially liked the mathematics review, it was very easy to understand and reviewed many key concepts I had long forgotten. The only part I did not like was that the CBT was excluded and the book didn't give you an idea of how the scores are ranked (compared to peers), meaning what score is excellent, good, average ... etc.
Half of A Book
I would not have bought this book in a store, and I should have looked at the dimensions of the book more carefully. It is half the size of the larger Praxis books and it is no bargin. ... The review is very short and some of the test information is out of date and it does not have practice CBT tests. This book will not hurt you but I don't think it is worth the money and you should look at the other books
Cliffs Praxis I Pre-Professional Skills Testion Guide: Prepa
This book was fantastic. It was worth every penny I spent on it. When ordering I thought this was going to be a second rate book but this was the best book there is for preparation for the Praxis I tests.

I passed the first part of the praxis series because of this book. There are many reasons for applauding this book. First, the tests are hard which truly prepares you for the test itself. Second, the book has a great section which explains the answers so you have the opportunity to learn from your mistakes. Lastly, there are two practice tests per section and this helps you to improve not only your knowledge but your test taking ability in each area.

If I had only purchased this book, I would have passed the Praxis I tests with flying colors. Excellent book!
