Reviews:

This Book is Out of Date
FAIR WARNING. This edition, copyrighted in November 2004, cannot possibly be up-to-date with the current version of the PMP test and the current version of the PMBOK. If a picture of the book had been displayed, it would show that the cover proudly states that it is based on the 2000 PMBOK. I'm very disappointed, not to mention being out the postage to receive and return it.
Integrated Solution
I passed the PMP exam 2005 today. I took a bootcamp class (offerred by another provider), which just taught the exam, and tricks. I followed up using this book which cemented the "tricks" into a solid understanding. The book also gives you 2 weeks free to an excellent website that has test questions, and online CBT. This book and website with PMBOK 3rd edition is the best training material on the market. The book is well written, and will give you pointed insight into reading and grasping the overall tone of the PMBOK Third Edition, which yields a better chance of passing the PMP 2005 Exam.
Great book, but....
This book is an excellent book to bring you up to speed on PMI's methodologies in everyday language, but I would highly recommend other material for the 2005 exam. To build a solid foundation, I would recommend an updated version of this book as well as the PMBOK 3rd edition.
Extremely Well Organization And Simplicity Of Material Ensures High Success In Minimum Amount Of Time
If I knew then what I know now, I could have saved time, saved money, and eliminated confusion.
While I studied other exams this was the only book I used to prepare for the exam.
By using this book and knowing the Knowledge Areas, Processes Groups, and Processes in order you can pass the PMP exam in weeks not months. (Go through the book three times and you will be ready)
I passed with a high score!!!
No other resource organizes the information as well and in such a simplistic but effective format.
Focus your study effort
This book by Crowe is comprehensive but focused. It covers all the information in the 3rd Edition PMBOK Guide and explains the concepts in clear language that I can understand. That way, I'm not forced to memorize long lists out of the PMBOK that I can't relate to my PM work.

And, the book is focused. It targets the main points, unusual concepts or terms, and points those out to the reader. Again, this is very valuable when studying for the exam.

Finally, the questions in the book proved very helpful. It had been a while since I'd taken a standardized test, so this practice proved invaluable. And, the explanations that follow the questions help solidify understanding of the topics.

A great book - a must if you want to get the "PMP"!
