I used Johnson's book as my only study resource and passed the PMP exam by a comfortable margin. The guide is well-organized and practices and exercises are thorough and a wonderful reinforcement.
My only complaint is that the CD-based preparatory exam that comes with the book required a code to load, which was supposed to have been emailed to me within 24 hours of request. It's been almost a week and I still have not received the code.
Oustanding Resource
Johnson's book is the best resource I used for my PMP certification exam. The book organizes the material based on competencies and each chapter is designed to produce a clear understanding of the topic. The chapter review materials insured a thorough understanding of not only the material but its place in the knowledge map. I passed the exam the first time and credit this well organized resource.
Good to the point presentation, made study time less confusing
I used this book along with the Sybex book and Rita's book to study for the exam. There are a couple of reviews that mentioned errors. I checked the company website before buying and downloaded the current errata (updates) document as I did for the Sybex book also. I didn't have any problems with either book from the updates. The Crosswind book was good and to the point on what was needed without trying to digest entire pages of text and having to determine what was important. The Sybex book was a bit heavy and harder to digest. I haven't taken the test yet, but a few study buddies who just passed said the Crosswind and Rita questions were more like the real exam than the Sybex questions.

Beware of the errors in this book
While I agree that the mind mapping was useful in this book and it was helpful overall, the MAJOR errors and poor editing made it a struggle when studying to the point that I stopped at the third to the last chapter for fear of learning something wrong. There were incorrect formulas (a table was different than the text), test questions that had only half the question and the full question was in the answer (so you got it partly wrong through no fault of your own), a question already had the answer bolded (so you made up for the earlier flub), and some things he focused on weren't critical to passing the exam and ended up as noise. I felt that the tests were too easy when compared to the actual exam. Andy Crowe's book and Rita Mulcahy's book and CD test simulation were invaluable to me in passing the exam. Pass on this book and get the other two.
