Reviews:

An absolute MUST if you struggle with the games section
I bought this book after taking a few practice tests and doing horribly on the games section. I was initially getting maybe one third of the questions correct on the games section, and it was killing my score. After reading this book and doing a lot of practice (I also bought the 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests as well as the 10 More and Next 10 books), I ended up finishing the games section with time to spare and only got one question wrong.

One reviewer said that you would be better off just practicing the games versus buying this book, but I disagree. This book was so helpful for me because the authors pointed out strategies for solving the games that I never would have thought of on my own, but which made perfect sense once they were explained. Then it was a question of practice, practice, practice so I got used to solving the games and got my confidence up.

Yes, the PowerScore books are more expensive than others such as Kaplan and Barron's - but I would argue that it is totally worth spending the money. I had originally bought Barron's Passkey to the LSAT, but after taking a few practice tests I noticed some definite differences in the real tests versus the made up questions in the Barron's book. I would caution anyone against relying on books that are teaching to their own questions as opposed to real LSATs of years past. That is why I also bought the PowerScore logical reasoning book. I only wish that PowerScore made a reading comprehension book, because that was my weakest section.

If you want to improve your score on the games section, this book is the way to go.
Best prep for LSAT Games!
I can't say enough about how excellent this book was in preparing me for the LSAT games. I had used a review course, as well as individual tutoring, and still was having great difficulty in getting a handle on games comprehension and strategy. This book offers clear and simple explanations, exercises and tips on test taking strategy and was so enormously helpful. My test score went up by eight points in the practice exams. My only regret is I purchased this book only about a week the exam: I would have liked a little more time with it. I highly recommend this to anyone preparing for the LSAT.
Wonderful! -It should get 7 Stars
This book literally added 7 points to my score(Pushed my score from the 160's to the 170's) If you take the time to learn the system and practice the drills you will be faster and more accurate at the games. The drills are based on old tests which makes the book cost more, but the exposure and analysis of the old games is well worth it. I suggest starting to use this book about 2 months before the actual test so that you will have time to truly internalize the method. Best 50 bucks I've ever spent. I'm recommending it to all of my friends. Good luck!
Lot's of techniques but you still need to practice, practice...
Overall I would have to say that this is definitely one of the better LSAT logic games books. Why, because unlike many, it tries to show you techniques that are at least fairly consistent without being too "gimmicky." In addition, they do a fairly comprehensive guide of building up a basic foundation of basic game types and moving on to permutations of those basic games, but they at least also tell you what the likelihood is of actually coming across those particular types of questions. One additional fringe benefit that I found particularly helpful was their updated content which is available for free online at their webpage. I highly recommend going there to get the latest info, at the very least they have a chapter addendum that you can look at to get an idea of the rest of the book's content and style.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have studied from this book first, than practiced those particular game types before moving on. Time management is my biggest weakness and I've yet to find an overall strategy that works to help me deal with this. In any case, this book is a very, very good value for the money.
PowerScore
The PowerScore Logic Games Bible is the best training tool I've found for attacking the LSAT logic games. While McGraw Hill's Curvebreakers is head and shoulders above the other reference books on this topic, the PowerScore bible takes that even further with more depth and explanation on modelling the logic chains. If you have an above average I.Q. and can work through this book without the need of personal instruction, this book alone could save you the $2k that others pay for live classes (in my opinion, if you need to spend $2k to attend live classes in order to score well on the LSAT, you really need to reconsider law school because you'll most likely be winnowed out during the first year anyway- just because they let you in doesn't mean they're convinced you should become a lawyer). Combine it with the other PowerScore material and/or the McGraw Hill LSAT book for a well rounded view of LSAT strategy.
