GOT THE JOB DONE!
I scored 53 on the Principles of Management CLEP test. Anything over 50 is passing. I did a half-baked job studying and started looking at this book only two nights before the test. This book covers the topic well and is the only study aid you need to pass the Management CLEP test. However, it's a boring book and requires 100% attention (so no television or radio in the background). Stick to studying the definitions of PERT, GANTT, and ALL of the people that are mentioned in the book otherwise you'll be lost for most of the test. Also, learn the definitions of each style of management (classical, behavioral, scientific, etc.) VERY WELL. Good luck!
All You really need to Pass this test
I ordered this book on a Friday evening, recv'd it on Monday evening, study Tues, Wed and Thursday morning and took the test that thursday afternoon and passed it. Focus on the concepts, theories and people. I'd say about 60-65% of the test is from the book and the rest is just knowing how to choose the correct answer. This book combined w/the college board test helped me out the most. Read this book twice and your good to go!
GREAT SOURCE YOU CAN PASS WITH THIS BOOK!!!
i studied for this test four days before the test using only this book. and after i got a good comprehension of the material i took the test in the OFFCIAL CLEP STUDY GUIDE by the college board.it really allowed me to gauge how i was going to do because the questions were very similar to the ones in that book. my college doesnt award grades for the CLEP only credit hours earned so i didnt care how i did on it as long as i passsed. but i did pretty good i got a 67 out of 80. i would say that 65% of the info on the test was covered in this book and the other 35% this book gave you a general idea of how to make an educated guess. Wanna pass this CLEP use this book. Now its off to pass the other 5 CLEP exams i need to pass.
Only study guide you need to pass.
This study guide was the only material I used to take this test. I passed with a 72 (50 is a passing score) and only studied a few days before the test. The format of this book is easy to follow, there is six chapters each dealing with the important functions of management. At the end of each chapter there is study questions dealing with that chapter from 10-16 questions. There is also a short exam that has 25 questions and one full exam of 100 questions. I highly suggest you study the Theories and who developed it, because that was the hardest thing for me to remember during the exam. Another good thing about this book is the answer sheet, not only does it provide the correct answer but it also gives and explination as to why its the correct answer and why the others are wrong. I believe that part of the study guide alone is what gave me such a good score with such little studing. It sticks to the need to know stuff, and cuts out the fluff of a text book. I highly recommend. Good luck on your CLEP.
Helped me pass the CLEP for Management
I made a 72 on the test today. The teaching material in this book was excellent. The questions on the test were similar to the ones in the book. Great reference.
